About Me
I was most recently the Co-Founder and Director of Engineering at BloomSpot, a venture-backed startup in San Francisco that sends you ridiculously great local offers for weekend getaways and local luxury experiences. Prior to BloomSpot I was a Sr. Software Engineer at Yahoo! for three years where, among other creations, I invented and built Yahoo! MapMixer, an innovative new maps product. MapMixer was the first public product launched from Yahoo!’s Hack Day program. MapMixer was launched at NextFest 2007 in Los Angeles. I’ve also spent a great deal of time building social Internet products, having entertained over 6 million users worldwide with my applications and games on social networks and co-founding Wowzio, a popular contextual blog widgets startup.
When I’m not cooking up my next project, I enjoy playing tennis, guitar, morning yoga, reading, movies, volunteering in schools, following Indian cricket and finding poetic peace in seeing life unfold around me. I’m a proud alumnus of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where I graduated with a BS in Computer Science. I am currently an MBA candidate at the Wharton School of University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
